Since 2004 JC Actuarial Benefit Consultants, Inc., with offices in Cleveland and Seattle, has provided retirement plan, actuarial, consulting and administrative services for retirement plan sponsors, as well as outsourced actuarial services for retirement plan providers, CPA firms, and third-party administration firms.
Founder Julia Chernyak, MSPA, EA, ACA, possesses more than 25 years of experience in the retirement services industry, with expertise in the design, funding, accounting and administration of qualified pension benefits. Her areas of focus include custom-designed cross-tested profit sharing plans, defined benefit and cash balance plans, and floor-offset plans.
Julia graduated from Tashkent University, Uzbekistan, USSR with a Masters degree in Mathematics, then came to the United States in 1995 and joined Libman, Ryder & Co., Inc. shortly thereafter. She is an enrolled actuary and a member of the Society of Pension Actuaries, the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. She also serves on the board of the Cleveland ASPPA Benefits Council.
